Founder & Owner
As a lifelong Idahoan, I've always believed in the importance of community, helping others, and being prepared for whatever life brings. Those values have shaped both my personal and professional life.
I spent nearly 25 years in the medical field, where I learned to stay calm under pressure, think critically, and care for people during some of life's most challenging moments. My years in medicine taught me that emergencies rarely come with a warning. Being prepared isn't about living in fear—it's about having the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to respond when it matters most.
After leaving the medical field, I followed another passion and founded Eventageous Idaho, an event planning company focused on creating meaningful experiences and bringing people together. It was a wonderful chapter in my career and one that allowed me to build lasting relationships throughout our community.
Over time, I began to recognize another need. I met women who wanted to learn about firearms but didn't know where to start. Some had never handled a firearm before. Others wanted to learn self-defense or simply feel more confident and prepared in their everyday lives. Many told me they wanted a place where they could ask questions without feeling intimidated or judged.
That's why I founded Valkyrie Arms Training. My vision was simple: create a welcoming preparedness academy where people—especially women—could learn practical skills in a supportive, professional environment. Whether you're interested in firearms safety, self-defense, situational awareness, casualty care, or simply becoming more confident, you'll find instructors who are committed to helping you succeed.
"I don't believe every woman needs to carry a firearm. I do believe every woman deserves to feel prepared, confident, and capable of protecting herself and the people she loves."

Approachable, Encouraging, Empowering
I believe learning should be approachable, encouraging, and empowering. Women learn differently — most of us want to know the 'why' and the 'how' something works. That's why every Valkyrie class is built around patience, practical skills, and real-world application.
